Hi Schalk,
               Actually i could not put that as war file so i put that as jar
and just put the name in the constructor like :

BaseFont bf = BaseFont.createFont("verdana.ttf"), BaseFont.WINANSI,
BaseFont.NOT_EMBEDDED);

It worked so I sent that solution but the original problem is still
unresolved..anyway anytime later we can think about that, for now its done in
some other way..

thanks a lot for your continuous help and support..

TC...
Niladri..

Hi Niladri,

So the setting it like this should solve the problem:
BaseFont bf = BaseFont.createFont(configProps.getString("verdana"),
BaseFont.WINANSI, BaseFont.NOT_EMBEDDED);

Glad you got this resolved.

Schalk Neethling

The maker of the font doesn't allow it to be embedded.

Hi
    I did that but getting this exception :

AZ.ttf cannot be embedded due to licensing restrictions. -

Can you please help me why this is ocurring ?? The code i have written is
like this :

BaseFont bf = BaseFont.createFont("AZ.ttf", BaseFont.IDENTITY_H,
BaseFont.EMBEDDED);

The ttf file is only put in the jar and the jar is in the classpath.

Thanks
Niladri.

Move the file inside a jar and get it from there. Suppose you put it in
mypackage.fonts.arial.ttf, the way to get out is
"/mypackage/fonts/arial.ttf" as long as that jar is in the classpath.
