People who make such remarks are irrelevant whiners. Please don't let their
insensitivity shape your character and behaviour.
iText in Action is such a valuable reference that anyone working with PDFs
should have not just one, but two copies, one for work, and one for home.
That said, it is indeed true that anyone should be able to learn how to use
iText with the free resources that are available online. To me, the
documentation, tutorials, and the book are sort of like a three-legged stool. I
can't imagine why anyone would want to risk the consequences of trying to use a
two-legged stool. ;-)

P.S. A question for all who are too lazy to learn iText. Do you really want
your employer to know you can't learn iText from the resources that are
available to you?
