Hello,
We're using PDF forms (AcroForms) as a template for generating document
and we're facing a problem. The document generated with the form is much
bigger than the same document created from scratch using the iText API.
We share an ADSL connection and most of the time the generated PDF is >
400KB.
I've done a small test with Acrobat Pro 7.0. Starting from an empty PDF
file (filesize about 8Ko), I've only added a text field with basic font
Arial and the filesize has increased to 200KB. Why so many differences
of size just for a single text field?
When the form is filled and flattened, the filesize does not change a
lot. Is there a way to remove with Itext data relating to Acroforms when
we flatten the form?
Thanks,
Jonathan
