I'm not sure I understand your question.

Can you post 2 examples? The first with what you expect it to be and the second 
one generated by your code? Also, please post your code that is creating it.

I generate a RTF document with iText 2.1.2u.
I create a table and add many cells to it. When a cell contains a "\n" iText 
does not generate a normal line distance but a distince liek this: at least 
16pt.

What can I do to get a normal line distance?
