As described in chapter 7 of the book, there's a method
to get the current Y position on a page, but there are
very little valid reasons to use it because most of the
times you can achieve whatever you need that value for
in more elegant ways.

I don't understand the above sentence; more specifically: you could
be meaning many different things with your question, and I would have
to copy/paste many pages from my book into this mail to cover all
possibilities. That's impossible of course (my publisher would object),
so I suggest that you either tell us what you mean, or read the book
and find the solution for yourself.
