Continuing this conversation out loud with myself :) The control word \shpwr2 seems to correspond to the square wrapping for an image (or any shape for that matter).
\shpwr2 is for "square" \shpwr3 is for "behind text" \shpwr4 is for "tight" Problem is I'm not sure where I need to set this.
