In my university the tutors are responsible to prepare certain PDF-documents. These should use the corporate font and the documents are uploaded to out publishing system. When the corporate font is not embedded, the documents will not be displayed with the right font to our students. So, when I could add a validity checker to the upload mechanism, I could check for the necessary corporate font to have been included (hope I formulated that case right), warn the uploading user (or deny the upload/publishing) and even embed the corporate font automatically. But, as I said, my question is now academically, as I can solve my problem now.
