Hi,

I used iText for populating the PDF which was an editable/savable version,
which was created by Adobe Pro 8. After populating the PDF using iText, I lost
the ability to edit the populated PDF using Adobe Reader. What I believe is
happening is that when the PDF is populated by iText, the meta-data associated
with the file is not retained, specifically, the meta-data that defines whether
the PDF can be edited and saved from Adobe Reader is being rewritten by some
other meta-data (which now disallows the Adobe Reader from editing/saving the
text entered into the PDF).

The original PDF passed over to the application to be populated was created
using Adobe Pro 8. Using the acroform fields, I populated the PDF with some
data that was already stored in my application. But my requirement is that the
end user should be able to open the PDF that I populated and he should be able
to edit and save the PDF with his changes (using Adobe Reader).

Note that if the user has Adobe Pro, he will be able to edit and save. But I
need to have this same thing working with Adobe Reader.
Can you please help me?

Thanks,
Jackson Ninan
