I think it's your workflow. It seems to cause too much encapsulations,
i.e. too many nested levels. I don't think there is PDF page
extraction/combination software that would not resort to use those
objects. But most certainly you have just chained to many
extraction/combination operations needlessly.

This is a public mailinglist which has many archives which (at least
partly) are certainly not controllable by the list maintainers. I don't
think it is possible to revert that and I doubt that the maintainers of
this list would put a lot of effort into it. You'll probably never get
it out of Google again, I'm afraid.
