Hello,

I am starting to develop a document annotating tool. So I need to be able to
select a text passage from a pdf file and somehow extract info about the
location of the passage in the pdf document. In the best case, I want this
information to be the passage's begin/end offset in the pdf text (if there
exists such thing) and in the worst case just the passage's text. I want to
store this info somewhere and, when reopening the pdf document, to use this
stored info to somehow mark the specific passage.
Reading (very quickly) "iText in Action" I couldn't figure out whether this
is possible with iText? Is it?
If not, are you aware of any other open source tools that could solve this
problem?

Thanks,
Giorgos Giannopoulos.
