As I understand this, and these comments are
intended as conversation starters not answers,
if you are cooperating with
the document author, the author could insert placeholders
or annotation / logical structure to make this easy.
If this is antagonist to original author, if you are trying to
make a political satire for example, you could still examine
the rest of the objects and re-typeset them yourself.
The layout logic that may exist in an authoring tool
you would probably have to make up.
Anyone care to elaborate on the reality of above thoughts?
