Hi
we use java iText for several PDF manipulation processes. Specifically we add
XMP metadata to pdfs.
We have found that after using the pdfStamper certain aspects of the PDF are
lost after the file is stamped.
The documentId is is no longer present after stamping and we cannot find a way
to put it back in.
We have also found that if the file is a PDFX1a, it has GTS conformance tags
which are lost after the stamping process.
This is important because Adobe's PDFX1a standard is specifically designed for
print processes, since our system is dependent on print standards, the loss of
this information is critical to maintaining good PDFs for our customers.
Is there something we are doing wrong to lose this information?
Thanks for your time in advance.
