If you are referring to the above "new paragraph", then you'll have to provide proof. And please clean up your code, what is the meaning of these lines: cb.setColorFill( Color.black ); cb.stroke(); The default color of the phrase added to ColumnText is black anyway, and you aren't drawing any shapes!
