Does anyone else know if it’s possible to generate an image as a table
background, or as a background for an entire page so we can draw text on top
of an image?

Simpler question – is there any way to render an image (via RTF generation) and
then place text on top of it?

1. I'm not certain. I have not explored that code.
2. No. Not possible.
3. Depends on the level of effort for the changes required. General a change
file would suffice. Perhaps Bruno can provide information to you about the
release required for code submission.

Subject: [iText-questions] RTF Generation and Images

Realizing that iText RTF generation does not support watermarking:

1) Is there a way to generate an image as a table background, or as a
background for an entire page so we can draw text on top of an image?

2) Can I *start* with a RTF with a watermark, load it into iText, and
manipulate it?

3) If I wanted to fork iText and support watermarking on my own (and roll
that code back into iText) could you give suggestions as to that path?

My goal is to generate the first page of my report with a full-page background
image that I can put dynamic text on top of.
