I realize I can't really complain too much because itext is a freely availble piece of software. However, out of all the libraries that we use with our software itext seems to be the only one that crashes jboss. All other libraries play nice and throw exceptions and allow our system to keep running even if there is a problem. To simply state "we don't support jBoss" is a horrible answer considering if I hadn't explicity said it was running inside jobss there is almost no indication that Jboss is involved. I don't expect support for jboss. I don't _expect_ a solution to be posted back to me in this mailing list. However, what I do expect on a mailing list such as this, is that _if_ someone has a suggestion on how to fix the problem or ways to isolate what might be causing the problem, that maybe they spend the time to post it in response when/if they get a chance.
With that said, we continue to work on isolating the issue that I described earlier and will post more if I find something. Unfortunately we don't support jBoss, but if you can produce a standalone Java example (no jBoss classes, only iText classes) that reproduces the problem, we'll be happy to have a look at it. -- This answer is provided by 1T3XT BVBA http://www.1t3xt.com/ - http://www.1t3xt.info -- Confidentiality Notice: This e-mail, including attachments, may include confidential and/or proprietary information, and may be used only by the person or entity to which it is addressed.
