Dear iText Folks,

I hope to clarify something that iText cannot do. If I have an XFA form,
and I flatten it, I seem to lose the contents of the form. On this list
serv, folks have explained iText doesn't support flattening of "dynamic"
XFA forms, which I take to mean forms that users can fill out with
arbitrary contents.

As a corollary, because it is impossible to flatten "dynamic" XFAs
without losing data, it is also impossible to merge several PDFs
together that each contain XFA forms, since pdfCopy, pdfCopyForms, and
pdfWriter's getImportedPage won't work against XFA data--they only
support AcroForms.

Am I understanding the situation correctly? I've tested a number of
different approaches, though there may be another mechanism I haven't
thought of or tested, or I may misunderstand the terminologies involved.
I'm happy to furnish test data or code if that's helpful.

Thanks so much in advance.
