hello,

thank you very much for your reply... I have fixed that problem already 4 days
ago =) After hours of starring onto my code and looking for any unseen
problem... I checked which version of Itext I was using bcuz my company has
worked with i text already years ago so the version might be a bit old... Well
and as it turned out i was coding with itext 1.4.8 *swt* :-/

So I updated my version to 2.1.7 and instantly everthing worked fine :)
I am very happy because now everything works pretty fine:

1.Adapt a given pdf having form fields
2. Adding a table of an undefined size to this given "form pdf"
3. having page numbers added and interactivly the header and footer copied and
added

... and the best .. my test pdf created from db information having 40 pages
.... in... 468 milliseconds... =D

I am very happy... =)

enjoy your weekend..,

very kind regards

Stephan

I finally found some time to look at your problem;
and... I didn't see any problem.

I made this example that fields a text field on page 1;
and that adds a ColumnText objects that doesn't fit on
the first page: http://1t3xt.be/?X0007f2
As explained previously, insertPage is used to add a
new page to which the remaining content of the column
is added.

Please adapt the example till to your specific requirements.
If it still shows errors, post the adapted example.

br,
Bruno
