Explain "experimenting".
Do you mean you are printing the document?
If so: are you sure you've disabled automatic scaling
to adapt the PDF to your printer?
In your print Dialog you have a property "Page Scaling".
Sounds like you've set it to "Shrink to printable area"
instead of "None".
