We have an application that has only recently added iText as it's pdf creation
tool. Everything is fine in our test environments, but once we promote to a
secure ssl (https) environment, we find that Internet Explorer will not produce
a streamed page unless the advanced security setting "Do not save encrypted
files to disk" is checked. Since the default setting for Internet Explorer is
to have this unchecked, we're hoping for a work around that won't impact our
users or overwhelm our support desk. Firefox, Chrome, and Safari do not
exhibit this problem. I see a ton of posts on the web about turning this
switch off to fix pdf issues, so I'm hoping there is just an additional
response header or something I'm missing.
