Well, you need to look at the page dictionary.
You can get this dictionary from PdfStamper with getPageN(pagenumber);
In this dictionary you have a key /Resources.
In these resources you have /XObjects.
Some of these XObject will be form XObjects,
others will be image XObjects.

You'll have to loop over all the pages, and inspect
the page dictionary of each page for the existance
of image XObjects.
