Are you watermarking on top of the PDF using transparency? Are you printing to
a PCL printer?

If so, that's why! Acrobat/Reader has to do a LOT of work to "flatten" the
transparency when sending to that type of printer as it doesn't understand it
natively.

Subject: [iText-questions] Watermarked PDFs printing very Slow

Hi - All my watermarked PDFs are printing very slowly. I'm creating the
watermarked PDFs programatically using iTextSharp.text.pdf and printing the pdf
is dead slow.

Adobe Reader Version: 9.2.0

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Charlie
