One extra question though: are you using rowspan? There are some known rowspan problems that were fixed in later releases. If you aren't using rowspan, I don't see any reason why a table with 8 columns would be rendered correctly, whereas a table with 7 columns would fail. I also have no idea how you are adding the table: with document.add() or with writeSelectedRows()?
