It is likely because you run RUPS regularly and on a small number of systems that you find no benefit in building a jar. I, on the other hand, would like to run RUPS occasionally, and on many different platforms, many of which I don't own. For example, in classes where students have their own computers and have java on them. The value in this case comes from being able to deploy a jar and look inside a PDF file every once in a while. At any rate, I am willing to do the work to get a jar functioning, but first I need some help in getting RUPS to function without installing anything special on my system. Thus I want to find a way to run RUPS from a java program where all of the things I need other than the base installed version of java are inside a single directory. Can anyone provide guidance on how this might be done?
