Sounds like you aren't embedded the fonts in the PDF.

Subject: [iText-questions] iText 1.3.1

Hello -
I'm using iText 1.3.1 which creates a PDF version of 1.4. Problem is that
Adobe Reader 9.0 and up will sometimes print the document in a gibberish format
(one ASCII character up.) The odd thing is that the Adobe document will display
properly on the screen and also the problem is sporadic. Also with Adobe 8.0 or
below we have no issues. Has anyone experienced this before? Would it have
anything to do with the PDF version being 1.4?

Thanks

Eric
