If that font has CFF outlines the encoding must be BaseFont.IDENTITY_H.

Do you have a license to use that font?
It's forbidden to use fonts that ship with Acrobat
in any other context than with Acrobat.

It must be frustrating for you that you can't get it to work, but then
again: you are also frustrating us by saying "it still doesn't work"
without a shred of proof.
Right now, I have as much right to say that you look like a green
elephant as you have right to say "it doesn't work".
You probably won't believe me because you can look in the mirror and
verify that you're not green and that you don't have a long snout.
Well, for the same reason I don't believe that TTFs don't work with
iText, because I have thousands of examples that proof the opposite (if
only you'd do the effort to download and test some of those examples).
Nobody can help you if you don't want to be helped.
