Hi Leonard and Mark, Setting the rgb transparency blending space fixed the problem.
Leonard has a really good explanation of this in an response to someone else on the mailing list here: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg28630.html The api call I used was on my com.itextpdf.text.pdf.PdfWriter object. Adobe supports it, foxit probably doesn't. HI, I have a PNG image in my PDF. In the java version (not .NET) the image comes through looking washed out. It only happens in adobe acrobat I usually use Foxit Reader and in Foxit, the image shows up fine. Does anyone know what could be going on here ? Here's the links I have so far: how about these: iTextSharp: http://sourceforge.net/projects/itextsharp/ How to sign a PDF using iText and iTextSharp: http://itextpdf.sourceforge.net/howtosign.html > I'd also like to include some advice on asking questions & list > etiquette ("use a helpful subject line, 'urgent' doesn't help, > reposting your question is rude, include your stack trace/code/PDF"), > how to attach files to the list (or link to some file upload site), and > so forth. modified from here: http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.perl.misc/msg/4198c68b5acb3fd1? maybe something along the lines of this: Before posting you are *EXPECTED* to: [0] Check the iText Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) ??? http://1t3xt.info/tutorials/faq.php [1] Check the iText API ??? http://api.itextpdf.com/ [2] Check the iText examples ??? http://1t3xt.info/examples/browse/index.php ??? You are *not* expected to read/know everything from the links above, ??? only that you spend a few minutes searching *before* posting. ======================================================================== Before posting you *SHOULD*: [0] Lurk for a while before posting ??? Monitor the mailing list for a period of time to become familiar with ??? mailing list etiquette. [1] Search the mailing list archive ??? Your question may have already been asked and answered. ??? http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ======================================================================== Before posting it's *RECOMMENDED* you: [0] Search the book ??? iText in Action, Second Edition is *the* best source of ??? documentation, and is available here: ??? http://www.manning.com/lowagie2/ ??? It's understandable that everyone's economic status is different, but ??? if you can afford to buy the book, it's highly recommended ======================================================================== Miscellaneous guidelines: [0] Posting to the mailing list: ??? There are numerous posts each day. *Nobody* is going to read every ??? post. People who answer posts must decide which questions they are ??? going to read, and which they will skip. ??? In other words, your post competing with all the other posts. You ??? need to "win" before a person who can help you will even read your ??? question. ??? The following describes how you can help keep your question from being ??? one of the "skipped" ones. Some recommendations to help you "win": ??? [a] Choose your post title *carefully*; titles like "please read", ??????? "urgent", or "help!" may make it *more* likely your question ??????? is skipped. Choosing a good title also makes it easier for others ??????? to find your thread when searching list archives and helps *everyone* ??? [b] Do not re-type code ??????? Use copy/paste or your editor's "import" function rather than ??????? typing your code. Typos make it harder for others to help solve ??????? your problem. ??? [c] Provide enough information ??????? If possible make a short and *complete* program that illustrates your ??????? problem. People should be able to run your program by copy/pasting your ??????? code; include Exception messages if any. ??? [d] Do *not* say things like "it doesn't work" ??????? Instead *describe* what is not working; what you expect your ??????? code to do given what you have *tried* to do. [1] Direct email ??? Directly sending email to the person answering your question benefits one ??? person, *you*. Posted answers benefit *everyone* using iText. If people ??? take time to answer your question on the mailing list, then you should be ??? courteous enough to get the answer in the same place you asked the question. ======================================================================== [0] A note to mailing list "regulars": ??? Do not use these guidelines as a "license to flame" or other ??? meanness. It is possible that a poster is unaware of things ??? discussed here.? Give them the benefit of the doubt, and just ??? help them learn how to post, rather than assume that they do ??? know and are being the "bad kind" of Lazy. But my problem is not creating a annotation, my problem is "how to inject the replies in it". Say i have annotation which says "This needs reply", and now someone else has added a reply to it. And now i want that reply to be added in the annotation using itext. Thanks, S.S.E Gridlogics Tech.
