There's a bug with cff subsets that was only exposed in Acrobat 9, it works ok
in Acrobat 7, for example. I don't know when it will be fixed.

I previously wrote about a problem I was having with an OpenType font when
usingthe IDENTITY_H encoding. I've discovered that the problem only occurs
when a subset is embedded, so it's fairly clear that there is a bug in the
code that constructs the subset.
The attached PDFs were created by the same code except for the value passed
to the BaseFont setSubset() method.
