Hi, I have the following problem: We want to modify an existing Pdf-Form by adding pages. After modification the Pdf should still be savable by the user. The process is as follows:
1. Our application presents a dialog to the user in which he can choose how many "attachment pages" he wants to fill out in the document. 2. We read the Pdf-Form-Template and duplicate the attachment page according to the user choice 3. Our application opens the form for the user to enter data and save the form including data. Adobe Reader is used for this. When the Adobe Reader is closed our application takes the saved form and stores it in a database. After one day of experiments with itext it seems to me that the last point is the tricky one. Saving a modified PDF Form with user data. I have managed adding pages to the template using PdfCopyFields or PdfSmartCopy but once the original PDF-Form-Template gets modified it is not saveable anymore. From what I have read in several postings I understand that this is an Adobe issue. It would be great if somebody with experience could confirm that there is definitely no way to accomplish this task. Or even better gives a hint on how to accomplish this task.
