It depends: If you have a specific problem, and you send a standalone example that reproduces the problem, then we can have a look at it. If you have doubts if something is possible or not (with iText, or in PDF in general), then we can take away these doubts. For instance: an ever recurring question is: "can we use iText to Reader enable a PDF?" (which is IMHO kind of a stupid question because it should be common knowledge that this can only be done using Adobe software). If you've found a bug in iText, we are very happy if you post a bug report on this list (providing sufficient info to reproduce the bug). However: Sometimes people post code that is copy/pasted from examples from the book that are freely available: http://itextpdf.com/book/examples.php But when you read their question, it's clear that they didn't read the corresponding section in the book. In such cases, they will get a page number as answer: "please find the answer on page X." Sometimes people post questions that give us the impression that they want to have their work done for free. That's not done on this list. Usually, it's also a problem if people copy/paste a snippet from a larger application saying "it doesn't work" without further specification. -- This answer is provided by 1T3XT BVBA http://www.1t3xt.com/ - http://www.1t3xt.info ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Next 800 Companies to Lead America's Growth: New Video Whitepaper David G.
