We have some pdf files that are very large for the number of pages and
illustrations that they contain. For example, one bloated PDF file is
only 307 pages long (it contains 7 illustrations) but it's 175.6MB. We
don't have the original document so we can't generate a new pdf file.

We tried to use itext to compress the document, but it only shrunk it
down to with compression level of 9. Does anyone have any suggestions of
how to shrink the size of the bloated PDF file?

Thank you,

Jade
