Is that possible to create a pdf that allows a simple acrobat reader to sign it?

I've seen some samples to alter a document and mantain the "Reader extensions", but I'd like to create a pdf without any kind of template files.
1. If you want to post/receive any further questions/answer, please subscribe to the mailing list. 2. Acrobat Reader hasn't been called like that since ages, please use the correct name: Adobe Reader, so that there is no confusion with Adobe Acrobat (which is a different product). 3. you're asking something that has been documented as "impossible" on many different places. Read http://support.itextpdf.com/node/11 to find out why you're asking something that is impossible. 4. if you have a copy of the official documentation, you'll find the same answer on page 276.
