Dear developers,
I am glad that you have launched itext for android. It is really a big step
forward in the world of hand held devices. I am working on an application
where I want to create,edit and print native pdf files in the blackberry
device which are stored in the sdcard. I don't want to use any server side
solution for the same because it will then become expensive solution and
hardly developers will use it. I have preferred IText library for the same
since i heard the news about itext for android. Now the problem is that the
itext library is not compatible with the Blackberry OS since no itext
library was not made for blackberry. I am trying my best to make this
library to compile with blackberry OS. But the number of errors are too
large to handle and this one man army approach is leading me to nowhere.
The help required from your side is to make this library to compile and work
properly in blackberry. Since you blokes have worked on similar solution for
android. So I don't think I will be a real tough task for you. Better if it
is made compatible with Blackberry OS 4.5.0 version due to forward
compatibility feature in blackberry.
So I am inviting the developers of itext to contribute in this project. So
that we can make itext library to be running on every hand held device in
the world. Hence making the objective of having a paperless world a reality.
