Bruno: This is a very common question.
You should add the example to the website and tag it with
the search words "itext character font contains glyph not displayed".

Take a look at the attached code sample and PDF.
LucidaConsole doesn't have any of those chars, so nothing is displayed.
LucidaSansUnicode only has one of the chars, so only one is displayed.
ArialUnicodeMS has both chars, so both are displayed.

If the charExists() method returns false, then the character doesn't exist in that font. Maybe the char is displayed in some other application, but in that case a replacement font is used. If the charExists() method returns true, then the character exists in that font.
In that case, iText will display the corresponding glyph correctly.
