What is this stupid answer???

We have absolute no obligation to buy this book, it's optional, what do you understand by your stupid comparison with a driver having no licence!?

Even we had read the book we were not in any cases able to solve any kind of specific problems.

Hello Pascal Hoffman,

I have googled for your name, and I have found it here:
http://www.inflectra.com/Support/User/kagel/List.aspx

When I go up one level, I find these rules:
http://www.inflectra.com/Support/

Your company is asking PAYING customers to
1. Read the documentation,
2. Check out the FAQ,
3. Consult the customer support forum,
4. fill out a Help Desk Ticket.
So if they are experiencing a problem, there are 3 (three!) steps, before they can post a question.

There are similar rules for iText: http://lowagie.com/rule1
You received a copy/paste of the rule you violated.

Why would it be OK for you to demand your customers to read the documentation first, if you don't even bother to read our documentation? It's also rude, and completely untrue to claim that the "iText in Action" doesn't solve any kind of specific problem, especially IF (as you say yourself) you didn't read the book.

There's a section Resources with a column Downloads to the right. Download "Chapter 2" and read p51-52:

THE IMAGE SEQUENCE
The result of the code in listing 2.26 is shown to the left in figure 2.13. Observe that the poster of the movie Betty Blue didn't fit on page 3. As a result, the title of the next movie, The Breakfast Club, is added on page 3, and the poster is added on page 4. This is the default behavior: iText tries to add as much information as possible on each page.

Figure 2.13

(All images from the book can be consulted for free on FlickR.
The image displays exactly what you described in your agitated mail)

This may be considered undesired behavior in some projects. If that's the case, you
can use this method:

Listing 2.27 MoviePosters2.java
PdfWriter.getInstance(document,
new FileOutputStream(filename)).setStrictImageSequence(true);

The resulting PDF is shown on the right in figure 2.13. The method setStrictImage- Sequence() allows you to force iText to respect the order in which content is added.

This excerpt from the book is an example that your allegation is wrong.

In answer to your question: "what do you understand by your stupid comparison with a driver having no licence!?" This is what I mean: you say things like "the book doesn't solve problems" without even having read the book. You can only talk about a book AFTER you've read it; just like you should only drive a car AFTER you've learned how to drive; just like the customers of Inflectra can create a ticket AFTER they have read the documentation (and searched the FAQ, and visited the forum).
