This is exactly what I am getting using test1() method that I provided in my original post. I understand that iText might not be able to retrieve the text in this PDF. However, please consider following: 1. Both Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Reader can save this PDF file as text. 2. XPDF product also can convert it to text, using command-line utility.
