Hi all,
First of all, I would like to say that I do not know much about fonts in
general. I tried reading the related sections from the book.
Pdfs I am generating does not display some unicode characters like 'ĭ and I
know iText is doing its job, it is the font that I am using that does not
support unicode character set which is the default Helvetica font. It was
only recently that I realized default Helvetica is really limited in the
characters it supports given that I would like to be able to support wide
range of unicode characters.
Having talked about the issue, I am looking to hear your suggestions about
what font you guys are using. It would ideally be a free one but I am also
open to hear suggestions about licensed ones. In addition, do you recommend
embedding the font in the pdf? I do not expect the unicode specific
characters to appear all that often, in general they will be simple font(or
maybe true type font, not sure what they are called but a, b, c sort of
characters) characters.
Thank you
