hi,

i get real old pdf into my hands and the creator is:
itext-paulo (lowagie.com <http://lowagie.com>)[JDK1.1] - build 132

Which iText version was that? itextsharp?
If so (roughly) equivalent to which java iText was that?

All itext-paulo versions were experimental iText versions in-between official releases.

For instance, we had iText 1.02 (February 2004). It was followed by iText 1.10 (November 2001). In between, we had itext-paulo 129 (March), 130 (March), 131 (May), 132 (June), 133 (August), 134 (August), 135 (August), 136 (August), 137 (September), 138 (September), 139 (October), 140 (November), 141 (November).

In other words, your "132" file is built with a version somewhere in-between iText 1.02 and 1.10, dating from June 2004 (which is mighty old).

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
