com.lowagie packages were renamed to com.itextpdf since version 5.0.0
Any version (pre o post 5.0.0) is good for PDF file creation (and to some
extent, information retrieval), however you should not expect any help for
versions different than the current one (as of today, 5.1.2).
Therefore I strongly advise you to go for the latest version, thus the
com.itextpdf packages.
