You are absolutely right, just like I am a tiny bit annoyed by messages like these. :) > Sent from my iPhone But let's not all be list cops, Bruno already does that on his blog (and rightfully so). I think that it's more productive to ask such "lazy" people questions that turn the tables around: * show us a functioning example of your current code (it must compile) * provide us with a copy of your pdf Also a good one is: your question is answered in the book, chapter X, paragraph Y. Such non-confrontational replies force the topic starter to do some work: either they have to rethink their code, or they write a simpler example that does work and notice their error themselves, or they read the documentation (sometimes for the first time). It helps if you turn the "blame" on yourself in your answer. For example, don't say, "*your* code is wrong", but instead say "*I* can't get your example to work". Don't say, "*you* haven't read the docs", but say "*I* found the answer to your question in the docs". You are essentially giving exactly the same answer, but people won't feel a need to defend themselves. Signing off here, I don't want to add any more to the noise. :) -- Amedee ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ RSA(R) Conference 2012 Save $700 by Nov 18 Register now http://p.sf.net/sfu/rsa-sfdev2dev1 _______________________________________________ iText-questions mailing list iText-questions@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/itext-questions iText(R) is a registered trademark of 1T3XT BVBA.
