I have a Java servlet that collects forms and fills in field data while
setting a background color on some fields.
When the PDF is displayed in Acrobat, the field background color is not
displayed unless the field is selected and will not print background
colors. Foxit reader in Chrome does display the background colors of the
form field color correctly, but will not print the background color.
I have used the setNeedsAppearances(true) on the PDF, but the background
color is not displayed or printable.
What am I missing? Why won't the field background color display?
