Hilight annotations don't have to be associated with text – they are just 
hilighted areas (rectangles) on a page.

However, if you want to detect if there is any text inside such a rectangle, 
you could do that using the parser classes in iText.

I use iTextSharp to read annotations from PDF files.
Is it possible to read text that is highlighted?
With iTextSharp I find the positions of the highlight but I see no properties 
to read the contents of the highlighted text.
How can I do this?
