Noone seems to have posted something on this subject since Saturday, so I looked into that for a few minutes. Obviously you want to take advantage of the iText high level APIs. Thus, you inspect the AcroFields returned by the PdfReader. First you need to know the name of the field to fill. If you don't know the name beforehand, AcroFields offers all of the blank signature field names to you via getBlankSignatureNames(). Now the extremely difficult part of extracting the position data... call the AcroFields method getFieldPositions() for the chosen name! This method returns a List<FieldPosition> containing the positioning data (including the size) of each widget of the field. The JavaDoc comment unfortunately still refers to an old implementation which returned a float[] containing the positioning data of but one of the field widgets. Regards, Michael PS: Had you tried anything at all before asking here? After all, those methods immediately leap to the eye... -- View this message in context: http://itext-general.2136553.n4.nabble.com/Signature-field-size-tp4245641p4253058.html Sent from the iText - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ridiculously easy VDI.
