Hello,

We are using iTextSharp to add digital signatures to PDF's. The signature
appearance is set to a graphic only and the document is digitally signed.

We are now wanting to create a copy of this document that shows the
signature image, but does not include the digital signature. Think of this
as like making a photo copy of a paper document that has a signature on it.
It is not intended to be the original, but instead just a visual
representation of what the original looks like. Is this possible to do with
iTextSharp?

I've read that digital signatures are similar to form fields, so I tried
setting the FormFlattening property on the PdfStamper to true, but this
resulted in a PDF without any digital signatures and no visual
representation of the signature.

Maybe I should try extracting the image and coordinates from the signature
somehow, place the graphic on the document as a regular image, and then
flatten the document? That doesn't seem very elegant, but I've been stuck
on this for a while now and I'm running out of ideas.

Does anyone have any experience with this or know what the best approach
would be?

Thanks,
Joe
