As announced many times before: there's a white paper about digital signatures in the works, and everybody who subscribes to the newsletter gets access to the drafts: http://itextpdf.com/newsletter We've decided to write a series of white papers instead of writing a third edition of "iText in Action." The main reason: we aren't free to do what we want with "iText in Action" because it's a book released by a Publisher. For instance: we can't give away the ebook for free (even if we wanted to). The advantage of writing a white paper without a publisher, is that we can give early access to anyone we like, for instance to all newsletter subscribers. Once the white paper is finished, we can offer the content for free to customers. There's also a major disadvantage: not working with a publisher means no Quality Control by a publisher. We rely on the readers to provide comments, suggestions and corrections. Bottom line: If you don't like documentation, don't subscribe to the newsletter. If you don't subscribe to the newsletter, don't expect documentation. For those who don't know what to expect, I'm making an exception (only once!) and I'll give you the link to the second draft of the first white paper: http://itextpdf.com/book/digitalsignatures20120823.pdf You'll find the information you need in section 2.4. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
