If you want to inspect the contents of an existing PDF with iText, you
should look at the parser package. Implement a RenderListener along the
lines of the SimpleTextExtractionStrategy or LocationTextExtractionStrategy
which in contrast to those strategies also extracts style and position
information (the information is present in the TextRenderInfo objects).
