Hello,
The itext 5.4.0 cannot read big sized PDF files, it throws a
JavaHeapException. I've download the source code and made changes that
fulfil that purpose.
Basically, I just applied the desing pattern Proxy in the class PdfStream
and created a custom loader for the PDF file so, one doesn't need to have
an array of bytes loaded in memory but access to the byte as its needed.
If there is any interest, I'll send the code.
