Hi
My apologize in advance. I am a newbie to iText and have not used it before. I
have recently had a job to auto populate a number of pre-existing PDF's with
customer data and require some general advice on iText and if it is the most
suitable solution and what limits it may have.

We currently have more than 50 PDF's that are from different sources - so they
each contain unique fields and company logos etc.
There is not a lot of consistancy in the names of fields across the PDF's
A customer may need to fill in 10 or more PDF's. We hope to automatically fill
in the customers information to each of the required PDF.

My understanding is that each PDF will require the fields to be mapped. So that
if there are 50 PDF's it requires 50 maps or templates?
I've browsed through the iText site and I've come across info on creating new
PDFs but not auto populating existing PDF's.
While it seems like a lot of work would we be better off creating new PDFS on
the fly?

thanks
ripley
