Good point.
Method right now is to right align everything up to and including the point
and then left align the last (n) characters after them.

I'm sorry, that's not supported. It will involve plenty of Math to do this.
Also: the delimiter for decimals varies from country to country.
You're assuming a "."; where I come from, we use ","
If we'd ever write support for what you need, we'd have to take these
localized differences into account.
