Many thanks, Leonard! There are tags in the concatenated PDFs and the demo. The demo isn't a result of a merge, and it's tagged, but still- it cannot be read out loud.
Both PDFs produced by iText are failing for: 1. Primary language 2. Title 3. Tagged annotations Both are passing the tagged content test (and all the rest).
