I'm trying to digitally sign a pdf file from a java Maven project.
I've included in my pom file:

And this is a portion of my code:
Certificate[] chain = smartCardKeyStore.getCertificateChain(ALIAS);
ExternalSignature es = new PrivateKeySignature(privateKey, "SHA-256", "BC");
ExternalDigest digest = new BouncyCastleDigest();
MakeSignature.signDetached(appearance, digest, es, chain, null, null, null,
0, CryptoStandard.CMS);
But when the code PdfPKCS7 sgn = new PdfPKCS7(null, chain, hashAlgorithm,
null, externalDigest, false); is executed inside iText MakeSignature.class
I get this exception:
